About the Artist -Nioshii-

-"True art expresses and touches one's soul." This quote from the artist captures -Nioshii-'s philosophy of life and of her art; life and art being inescapably entwined for her.

Immersed from birth in the environment of her art family with a centuries-long lineage of international ateliers, and raised in the multiplicity of cultures of New York City , -Nioshii- "grew up thinking that everyone did art in some form or another." She has exhibited and installed her work in homes and businesses across the US and internationally, and continues to conduct commission work, private exhibitions, and installations.

-Nioshii-‘s lifelong quest to inspire and engage others as she explores her own growth has led to an ever-expanding, multi-discipline body of work that includes oil paintings, mosaics, murals, silk paintings, fabric collage, architectural installations, and art photography, all with a uniquely universal appeal. Her representational abstract style reflects her thoughtful, deeply emotional and spiritual, avant garde outlook and highly refined sense of aesthetics, combined with her respect for long standing principles and techniques of art, in whichever medium she chooses to interpret subjects and express herself.

-Nioshii- continues to pursue her artistic evolution through her exploration of multiple artistic techniques and media as well as international studies and travel. Recent excursions have taken her to Italy, France, Costa Rica, India and Mexico.
